Ran a full audit of every image asset this site ships and published the findings, including the ones that made us look bad.
Fixed the first two of those findings straight away: the site had no favicon.ico at all and no raster icon sizes, so browsers that ask for one were getting nothing. There is now a multi-size ICO carrying 16, 32 and 48 pixel images, plus matching PNGs, all generated with our own favicon generator.
Added a 48 pixel size to the favicon generator itself and included it in the ICO it builds, since Windows and several browsers ask for that size.
Corrected copy on the About, FAQ and cookie policy pages that still claimed the site works offline. That stopped being true when we retired the offline cache layer, and we had not updated the wording.
Rebuilt the profile picture cropper and OCR pages around measured data, including a character-level accuracy benchmark for the OCR engine.
Merged five single-purpose format converters into the universal image converter and pointed the old addresses at it. One good page beats five thin ones, and the tool count is now 23 rather than 28.
Swept every internal link on the site and fixed the ones that pointed at retired or redirected pages, so links now go straight to their destination instead of bouncing through a redirect.

Rebuilt all 26 tool pages with proper how-to guides, real screenshots of each tool at work, measured before-and-after numbers, honest limitations and troubleshooting.
Added a film-style grain filter to the photo filters tool, bringing it to thirteen looks.
Added new trust pages: editorial policy, security, image privacy, DMCA and this changelog.
Published new guides on trending image topics, including the anti-AI film grain look, the pixel stretch effect, and AI figure prompts.
Reworked the homepage and About page, and moved the whole site to a cleaner typeface.
Retired the old offline cache layer that was occasionally serving stale files, so updates now appear immediately.

Added the one-upload pipeline, so you can chain steps like resize, convert and compress into a single pass with one download.
Added exact-size compression: type a target like 100 KB and the tool finds the best quality that fits under it.
Added real cover images to the blog and consolidated overlapping articles into stronger, more useful guides.
Added the platform size guides for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, each with tested numbers.

Reworked every tool page to lead with the working tool and pair it with genuinely useful content.
Added an installable, offline-capable version of the site, later simplified for reliability.
Expanded the blog with in-depth guides on formats, compression, EXIF privacy and image SEO.

ImgCruncher launched with a first set of browser-based image tools and a small blog.
