Tiled, so it cannot be cropped off

The same photo, clean on the left and tiled with a watermark on the right. Drag to compare.

A corner mark can be cropped away in seconds. A tiled mark covers every part of the image, so there is no clean crop to steal.

Settings that matter

Getting a mark that works

1

Opacity 40 to 60

Clearly visible without burying the photo. Go higher for previews you really want claimed.

2

Match the color

White at half opacity suits most photos. Switch to dark on light or pale backgrounds so it stays readable.

3

Tile if it matters

A single corner is fine for casual use. For work you do not want lifted, turn on tiling.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

A single corner watermark, yes. That is exactly why the tile option exists: it repeats the mark across the whole image, so there is no clean area left to crop to. For anything you really want protected, tile it.

Around 40 to 60 percent is the sweet spot, visible enough to deter reuse but not so heavy it ruins the photo. Push to 70 or 80 for previews you want clearly marked.

Scale it to the image. For a 1200px photo, 40 to 60 looks right; for something under 800px, 20 to 30. The aim is readable without shouting.

Text only for now. A logo or image overlay is on the list.

No. Watermarking runs in your browser through the Canvas API. Your photo never leaves your device.
